Space Tourism has started, albeit for the super-rich like Dennis Tito and Mark Shuttleworth. When will it become available for us ordinary folk? Some say within ten years, for brief flights to space and back. You can already book a seat, even though the spaceplanes have not yet been built or even funded. This is the main subject of the first joint meeting between The Royal Aeronautical Society and The Tourism Society.
The speaker and panelists have all been involved with spaceplane development or space policy formulation. There will be an open forum for you to have your say. This is a great opportunity for you to be in at the beginning of what could be the most significant development in aerospace over the next few decades.
